Students who completed college courses while in high school should apply as first-year students. To have credit hours evaluated for work that you have already completed at another regionally accredited college or university, you are required to submit all official college transcripts to the Office of Undergraduate Admission either electronically to mydocuments@miami.edu or by mail to any of the following addresses:

Transferable credit for coursework completed at another regionally accredited college or university while in high school will be subject to the following conditions:

  • Course must be a part of the University of Miami curriculum and at the level of courses taught at the University of Miami
  • Grade received must be the equivalent of C (2.0) or better
  • Decisions of transfer credits toward degree requirements are made by the Office of Undergraduate Admission in consultation with the Registrar’s Office and/or appropriate Academic Department

After arriving on campus

  • Students will meet with their academic advisors or departmental deans.
  • Advisors will determine how the transferable credits satisfy degree requirements and approve the course equivalencies.
